Misfire

Song Cheol-ho, a clerk at an accounting firm, whose salary is not enough to pay for transportation, leads a miserable life. A life of extreme poverty forced his sister to become a prostitute for the US military. The film vividly depicts the poverty and darkness of Korean society in the 1950s through the life of the Song Cheol-ho family who traveled from North Korea to South Korea, and reflects the social life of South Korea in the 1950s under the control of the US military. The film was banned due to its dark ideas and association with the hostile country North Korea, and it took many years for it to be released again.
