Mysterious Eyes

Benjamin Esposito (Ricardo Darín) ) is a retired prosecutor. His decades of judicial work experience have allowed him to accumulate a lot of material, but a rape and murder case many years ago has always haunted him. He hoped to publish it, but his wish was granted. 25 years ago, the 23-year-old beautiful female teacher Liliana Colotto (played by Carla Quevedo) and the bank clerk Duka Morales (played by Pablo Rago) met and fell in love. However, just as the two were discussing marriage, Liliana was brutally raped and killed in the apartment. The judiciary was corrupt. In order to close the case as quickly as possible, Benjamin's colleagues even randomly found immigrants to take the blame. Perhaps shocked by the scene of Liliana's death, Benjamin persistently launched an investigation and has since been involved in this confusing love-hate mystery... The film won the 2010 82nd Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film; the 2009 Havana Film Festival Audience Award, Best Actor Award (Ricardo Darín), Best Director Award, Best Music Award, and Special Jury Award.
