Barefoot

Eight-year-old Ada lived a comfortable life with her parents in the city. Because her father refused to associate with the Nazi army that invaded Czechoslovakia, the family was forced to move to her father's rural home. World War II meant pain and death to adults, but in the eyes of Ada and his friends, the war seemed far away from them. As the army invades the countryside, Ada's family gains the courage to face war, and the worlds of adults and children become intertwined.
