The Flowing Years [Film and TV Commentary]

The two brothers often went fishing with their father. The gurgling river water and the quiet afternoon became the most unforgettable moment between father and son. His father is an old pastor and often preaches in the town. The eldest son Norman (Craig Sheffer) has inherited his father's career-he is good at giving lectures and returned to his hometown to preach and teach after graduating from college. The younger son Paul (played by Brad Pitt) has a completely different personality - he loves freedom and has a unique fishing method. However, what is worrying is that he became addicted to gambling and was beaten for owing money. After Norman got married, he received a letter of appointment from the University of Chicago. Before leaving home for Chicago, he once again enjoyed fishing with his father and brother on the river. He persuaded Paul to leave here with him, but Paul was obsessed with fishing and refused to leave. Unexpectedly, this was the last reunion.
