The Red Dust [Film and TV Commentary]

This film is adapted from Sanmao's last work of the same name. During the Japanese-Puppet period, the female writer Shen Shaohua (Brigitte Lin) serialized her autobiographical novel "Magnolia" in newspapers, and many of the plots resonated with her. One day, she received a letter from a mysterious reader. She is full of curiosity about this man named Zhang Nengcai (played by Qin Han). Finally, the two met and fell in love at first sight. However, because Zhang is a traitor, outsiders often cause trouble, which makes Shaohua very uneasy.
