Eden at War

The film is adapted from a true story and tells a lesbian love story that took place under the flames of war. Berlin in 1943 was the Nazi period of World War II. Married Lily (Juliane Köhler) lives a life without passion as always, until she meets a Jewish woman Phyllis (Maria Schrader) at a concert, and a passionate love flame is instantly ignited. They call each other's nicknames Amy and Gagua, and they love each other deeply. Phyllis had been collecting information for the anti-Nazi organization until one day in 1944, when he was killed by the Nazis and died young. In love under the flames of war, who can escape the separation of life and death? When true love transcends race and gender, is there really a paradise-like Garden of Eden?
