"Lovely China" is a key gift film from Shanghai Film Group to the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China. The film has been listed by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television as "the second batch of key recommended films to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China." "Lovely China" has a three-part structure, using the titles of Comrade Fang Zhimin's three articles as "Flesh and Flesh", "Poverty" and "Lovely China" as the basis to construct the entire film.
