Kitaro Terajima (played by Akira Karamoto), who has been running a bedding store for decades, has to face the strong impact of cheap goods from hypermarkets in the new century. The store was struggling, and he was tired of everything around him. On this day, a woman unexpectedly walked into Terashima's shop, which brightened the eyes of this rather lifeless old man. The other party's name is Rieko Sugita (played by Machiko Ono), and she is a staff member of a hotel barber shop. She is graceful and elegant, beautiful but not vulgar. From the first moment he saw her, Kitaro was deeply fascinated by her. After that, Kitaro came to visit and showed his hospitality.
