The Change of Yuki no Shou

The famous kabuki actor Nakamura Yukino Cheng (played by Kazuo Hasegawa), his parents were framed by an adulterer when he was a child, and they died one after another. The young Yukinochei is helpless, but fortunately meets the kind-hearted kabuki actor Nakamura Kikunoshi (played by Ichikawa Nakasha). Kikunoichi accepted him as his apprentice, taught him dancing and sword skills, and vowed to help Yukino Cheng avenge his hatred. A few years later, Yukino Cheng has grown into an outstanding kabuki artist in his own right. He and his master went all the way to Edo, and finally found his enemy, the former Nagasaki official, Tobe Manzaki (played by Nakamura Yanjiro). The fire of revenge has been raging since then... This film was adapted from the original work of the same name by Mikami Yusaki, and won the 1964 Mainichi Film Award for Best Art Director.
