An alcoholic and decadent father, an obese and evil mother, private family photos taken with a cheap camera, the gorgeous colors and blurry images bring a true and candid shock. The famous British video artist Richard Billingam transformed the photo album "The Laughter of Thunder" into his first film, using 16mm film to recreate the poverty-stricken years of the Thatcher era when a working-class family lived in a low-rent house. In the misty and dim memories of the lace curtains, there are three growth experiences that were not cared for; time peels off on the floral wallpaper, but what never fades is the gentle smile in loneliness.
