In the dark night, he (played by Ryan Gosling) assists gangsters in robbery and transports drivers. During the day, he worked in movie stunts at the car dealership of his friend Shannon (Bryan Cranston). While visiting the supermarket, he met Irene (Carey Mulligan), mother and son. They had a good impression of each other and spent a pleasant weekend. However, Irene's husband, Stander, was released from prison, which cut off their relationship. Although both parties had a clear understanding, they were left helpless. Shannon recommended him to gangsters Bernie and Nino. At the same time, he accidentally discovered that Stander had been beaten up by someone, and it turned out that the latter owed protection money in prison. In order to repay the loan shark and ensure the safety of his mother and son, Stander decided to take risks again. He decided to help Stander complete this vote for Irene's sake. However, during the process of robbing the bank, Stander was accidentally shot and killed by the shopkeeper, and he and his girlfriend Blanche fell into a conspiracy of gangsters...
