Eight hundred years ago, Rama from India came to the Central Plains to preach Buddhism. After his death, his body was stolen and divided into two parts. Legend has it that those who get Rama's body can practice peerless martial arts, so there is a sudden turmoil in the world. There is a Blackstone Killer Group controlled by the King of Chakravartin (played by Wang Xueqi), who specializes in killing people who are rebellious and opposed to the imperial court. The Wheel King leads his disciples to a night raid on the residence of Zhang Haiduan (played by Li Qingxiang), the chief minister who has hidden half of Bodhidharma's corpse. However, his subordinate Xiao Yu (played by Lin Xilei) takes the corpse away with him, causing the Wheel King to issue a pursuit order, triggering a bloody storm. In order to avoid pursuit, Xiao Yu changed his name to Tsang Jing (Michelle Yeoh). During his escape, he met the dull and kind-hearted Jiang Ah Sheng (played by Cheng Yu-sing). After getting along for a while, the two gradually developed feelings and even got married. But grievances in the world of rivers and lakes are endless, so how can they be easily settled...
