Prince of Persia: The Blades of Time

This film is adapted from the 2003 video game of the same name by Ubisoft Software. Fifteen years ago, the orphan Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) was adopted into the palace by the King of Persia for his bravery and bellicosity in the market. Fifteen years later, Dastan, who has grown up, accompanied his two brothers and uncle (Ben Kingsley) on an expedition to raid the holy city of Alamt, and was betrothed by the king to the princess of Alamt, Tamina (Gemma Arterton). Dastan accidentally obtained the "Sands of Time" dagger that Princess Tamina tried her best to protect, but was framed for poisoning the old king and was forced to flee. In order to clear his name and ensure that the great Persian Empire would not fall into his hands, Dastan forced Princess Tamina to enter the infamous "Slave Valley" with him and sabotage the ostrich contest held by Chief Amal (Alfred Molina). At the old king's funeral, Dastan finally discovered the murderer behind the scenes, and Princess Tamina finally revealed the secret about the "Sands of Time"...
