The Raid

"The Raid" is directed by Gareth Evans and co-produced by the United States and Indonesia. It was released in Indonesia on March 23, 2012. Early in the morning, special police officer Rama (Iko Uwais) finishes his prayers and training, bids farewell to his wife who has not yet gotten up, and goes to meet a special mission. Deep in the heart of Jakarta's slums, the world's most dangerous killers and gangsters gather in an impenetrable house. Until now, the dilapidated apartment was considered inaccessible even by the heroic police. Cloaked under the cover of pre-dawn darkness and silence, an elite SWAT team and law enforcement officers are tasked with closing in on the house in order to take down the notorious drug lord that runs it. But news of their attack is accidentally discovered by a drug lord, and then the building's lights are cut off and all passages are blocked. This group of special police must fight for survival in the most cruel environment in the world...
