International lawyer Du Qiu (Zhang Hanyu ) woke up early in the morning and found a strange woman murdered on his pillow. When all the evidence pointed to him as the murderer, he resisted arrest and fled, deciding to find out the truth on his own. During the pursuit, the well-known police detective Yamura (played by Masaharu Fukuyama) discovered that the case was not simple. A policeman and a "gangster" developed a sympathetic friendship during the confrontation. In the process of finding out the truth, they were involved in a larger conspiracy. The mysterious woman Zhenyumi (played by Qi Wei) who has repeatedly helped Du Qiu escape also has a hidden secret...
