Sorrow for Me

Godard's original idea for this recent work came from the great Italian poet Leopardi, who once said: "Today, human power is concentrated in the hands of a few people. We witness different events every day, but we don't know the reasons. The whole world is like a machine driven by a hybrid mysterious mechanism." In addition, the film was also inspired by Greek mythology, including the story of "Amphitryon" written by Proteus, Molière and others.
