Jagu (played by Anushka Sharma) accidentally meets a man named Sarfraz (played by Sushant Singh Rajput), and the two people with similar interests quickly came together. However, Sarfraz is a Pakistani. His nationality and beliefs made this relationship strongly opposed by Jagu's family. Not only that, Tapasvi (Saurabh Shukla), the leader of Jagu's father's faith, even predicted that Sarfraz was destined to deceive and abandon Jagu. In order to prove the absurdity of the prophecy, Jagu decided to have a flash marriage with Safraz. However, on the wedding day, what Jagu waited for was a breakup letter. The heartbroken Jagu returned to his hometown and became a reporter. By chance, Jagu met a man named PK (Aamir Khan). To Jagu's surprise, PK claimed that he was an alien who fled to Earth because the key to the spaceship was robbed. At first, Jagu thought PK was talking nonsense, but what happened later made Jagu begin to believe what PK said. Jagu even decided to help PK find a planet to return to.
