Gracie's mother was an outstanding federal agent who unfortunately died in a mission. Gracie (Sandra Bullock) inherited her mother's career when she grew up and became a federal agent. Gracie has had a strong temper and slovenliness since she was a child. As a "tomboy", she is not popular. Only her partner and friend Eric (Benjamin Bratt) understands her. The FBI learned that a group of terrorists was preparing to stage a terrorist attack during the Miss America pageant. In order to thwart the plot, the FBI decided to send an undercover agent to participate in the pageant. The task naturally fell to Gracie. Through the skillful hands of the stylist, Gracie made everyone's eyes shine. Her "tomboy" character naturally made this mission full of laughter. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until the night of the Miss America celebration. However, when Gracie and a group of beauties stood on the stage, an accident happened!
