One winter in Beijing, Xiao Bo (Yu Bo) from other provinces worked in a clothing store. Because of his down-to-earth and hard work, he got the favor of the proprietress Qing Jie (Yang Qing). Because the relationship with her husband Dakang became increasingly cold, Sister Qing moved to A Meng's place. Soon, Xiaobo resigned from his job because of Dakang's attempt to rape him, and came to stay at the home of fellow villager Chongchong (Wei Jiangang).
