Embalmer

Embalmers (EM for short) are technical staff who specialize in disinfecting, embalming, repairing and properly preserving damaged corpses. They work in dark and closed places for many years, are willing to be lonely, and do their best to restore the corpse to its original appearance. The beautiful Miyako Murakami (played by Takashima Reiko) is a member of the embalmer team. One day, the body of Yuki Shindo (played by Masatoshi Matsuo), a 17-year-old youth who committed suicide by jumping off a building, was delivered to Miyako's studio. After some repairs, Yushu's head was mysteriously missing. Miyako immediately investigates the possible sale of corpses by police detective Ping Gang (played by Matsushige Yutaka). Slowly, they target Yuuki's former lover, high school girl Rika Shinohara (played by Miwa Miwa). With the intervention of the genius doctor Dr. Fuji (played by Juno Chai) and the religious organization Dadein, the case becomes more complicated and confusing...
