Kyousuke Hasebe (played by Toshiaki Karasawa), a lawyer who gave up his career as a human rights lawyer and worked for a large company in a large law firm. In order to maintain the dignity of the firm, as a nationally elected defender, he took over the defense of a housekeeper accused in a bourgeois murder case.
