巧巧在广州打工有些年头了，总是失望大于希望。这一年，在父母的催促下，她终于回到云南农村的老家。当她面对当下的中国乡村，记忆似乎变得更加遥远。在这里，她必须面对一个性无能的父亲和一个以小本生意努力维持生计的母亲。村里人和巧巧之间产生了一种距离感，总是对巧巧在外面的工作进行无端的猜疑。在曾经的家乡，巧巧更像是一个外来的访客，她感到了从未有过的孤独和落寞，总希望能早日再回到熟悉的城市。但又是在这里，巧巧遇到了再次点燃她外出梦想的广东理发师大川，和热烈追求她的、以富二代自居的混混青年李卫。在焦灼的现实面前，巧巧只得把返回城市的计划一拖再拖……
