月黑风高的夜晚，关家族长关少雄的无头尸体镶着金头秘密下葬，打造金头的匠人手指及理棺的众人都神秘死去，从此桃花涧留下了金头复活人的传说。贺飞从小听到这个传说后，就经常做着同一个噩梦。在他的梦境里，复活的金头在不停地追赶着他，他一路狂奔，却始终无法逃脱。 二十年后的贺飞虽然成为一名出色的刑警。但这个噩梦依然会搅得他在工作中出差错，在一次解救人质的过程中，罪犯手腕上的金鱼有被太阳照射后，折射出光束照向了贺飞的眼睛，致使贺飞又想起了恶梦中的金头，他慌乱中开了枪，几利射中了自己的同事。为此，局长放了贺飞长假，让他回老家腾越镇休假……
