Martin Scorsese · Jack LaMotta (played by Robert De Niro) was born in Brooklyn, New York. Jack, who has been practicing boxing since he was a child, quickly rose to prominence in the boxing world. He was known as the "Raging Bull" because of his fast and fierce punches during the game and his relentless attack on his opponents. He behaved like a bull.
