Crazy Nun (plot commentary)

The second-rate female nightclub singer DeLauris (Whoopi Goldberg) accidentally witnessed a murder and was chased by a gang leader. In order to escape the killer's pursuit, she turned to the police for help. In order to protect her as a witness at the scene, the police arranged for her to hide in the safest place in the world - a nunnery. The quiet and deserted life in the nunnery was unbearable for DeLauris, who had always been active. She went out to sing and dance at night when no one was prepared. The dean (Maggie Smith) was worried about her accident and placed her in the choir. She also felt that the choir was extremely bad and decided to reform it. So during mass, the choir sang pop songs, but the lyrics were changed to praise God. Unexpectedly, this move was warmly welcomed by the church members and attracted a special trip from the Pope to come to appreciate it. How could the TV station let such interesting news go? But as soon as it was exposed on TV, DeLauris was also announced to run for her life again.
