Actually in heaven

Daniel (Michael Nyqvist) is a conductor who enjoys a high reputation around the world for his outstanding professional skills. As time goes by, his body gradually begins to be unable to support his passion for music. A sudden heart attack forces him to say goodbye to the stage forever. In order to recuperate, Daniel returned to his long-lost hometown, where he became the conductor of the church choir. Daniel was frustrated by the lull in his work, but he found a new meaning in his picturesque hometown. At the same time, for the villagers, Daniel's arrival and the passion and persistence he brought for music also made this peaceful town shine. The film was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 77th Academy Awards in 2005. This is also the 14th time that a Swedish film has appeared in front of people as an Oscar-nominated film.
