Sorry We Missed You

The story takes place in Newcastle, northern England. Due to the subprime mortgage crisis, Ricky (played by Kris Hitchen) not only lost his job, but also shouldered a huge debt. In order to make ends meet, Ricky took out a loan and bought a small truck, preparing to start his second career by delivering goods. Little did he know that his unthinking move brought irreparable damage to the entire family. Ricky's wife Abby (Debbie Honeywood) is a domestic worker who specializes in serving the disabled and the elderly. Now she has to rely on buses to commute to different employers' homes, which makes her very tired. In order to pay off the loan on the truck, Ricky has to spend more time at work, which makes their eldest son Seb (Rhys Stone) feel left out.
