Bangkok is a metropolis and a city that never sleeps. Tenia Road in the center of the city is a red light district, and Japanese men can be seen everywhere on the roadside. Luke is one of the top names in the red light district. She lives alone in a luxury apartment in Bangkok, and uses the money she earns to support her extended family far away on the Laos border. One day, Luke met the man she fell in love with five years ago, one of her former Japanese guests, Ozawa. Ozawa is a retired soldier from the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. He lives in a slum and barely makes ends meet. When Ozawa went to Laos, Luke accompanied him back to his hometown and introduced Ozawa to his family and childhood friends. During the time spent in the small village, Ozawa began to feel tired of the urban life in Bangkok and could not help but yearn for an ordinary life here. However, this also opened the scars left by the colonial era.
