The eccentric Mr. Oldman (Geoffrey Rush) ) is an appreciation auctioneer at a top art auction house. He has almost never failed in his decades-long career. His biggest hobby is collecting portraits of women from various periods. Billy (Donald Sutherland) helps him buy his favorite paintings at low prices, and young man Robert (Jim Sturgess) helps him use technical means to identify the authenticity of antiques. Until one day, a mysterious female patron Claire (Sylvia Hoeks) comes into his life with a large amount of antique inheritance. Claire claims to have agoraphobia and therefore never shows up, but this special way of communication gradually fascinates Oldman, and he even turns to Robert for help in pursuing women. Finally one day Oldman gave up his original life, but a shocking conspiracy was quietly waiting for him.
