Forever Excuse

Kinugasa Yukio (played by Masahiro Motoki) is a well-known writer. He has been married to his wife Natsuko (played by Fukatsu Eri) for many years, and their relationship has already gone from the initial passion to dullness. Although Natsuko has been tolerating Yukio with her gentleness and honesty, Yukio is not only unmoved, but even responds with indifference and rudeness, just because Yukio already has another woman Fukunaga (played by Hana Kuroki) in his heart. One day, Natsuko and her friend (played by Horiuchi Keiko) went on a trip together. Unexpectedly, the bus they were riding encountered a car accident halfway, and the two of them died unfortunately. After learning the news of his wife's death, although Yukio didn't feel any fluctuation in his heart, he still pretended to be sad on the surface. After that, Yukio's life fell into chaos. The editor in charge of him spurned him, and Fukunaga left him. Until one day, the husband of Natsuko's best friend found Yukio and asked him to help take care of his two children. In the process, Yukio gradually learned to face his own weakness and unbearability, and rediscovered the meaning of life.
