The scorching sun

The background of the film falls in the former Soviet Union under Stalin's rule in the 1930s. Kotov (Nikita Mikhalkov) is the glorious leader of the Red Army. He has a wealthy family and a happy family. He is spending happy time in the villa with his wife Marusa (Ingeborga Dapkunaite) and their daughter. Unexpectedly, an uninvited guest broke in here. When he uncovered the layers of disguise, people recognized him-Media (Oleg Menshikov), a declining aristocrat who has been missing for ten years. The arrival of Midea is like a messenger from hell. As he tells the story, the entanglement between Midea and Kotov, the old relationship with Marusha, and the distortion of life with the times are all unfolded in the story.
