Love Now

Musician Rudy (Alan Cumming) meets District Attorney Paul (Garret Dillahunt) while performing in drag ), the two fell in love at first sight. After returning home at night, Rudy was disturbed by the noise from his neighbors and was unable to rest. When he came to complain angrily, he was surprised to find that there was only a pudgy boy named Marco (Isaac Leyva) in the house. Rudy tried to contact Paul to discuss countermeasures, but because Marco had congenital intellectual disabilities and his mother was arrested for drug abuse, the Family Welfare Department soon took Marco away. Later, when Rudy and Paul saw Marco wandering the streets alone, they took the boy home without much thought. After repeated discussions, the two decided to adopt Marco and provide him with a stable living environment. Unexpectedly, the court discovered their sexual orientation during the custody review process. The legal system was like a shackles, severely cutting off their relationship with the boy who had special obstacles but whom they regarded as their own... This film is adapted from real people and is set in California in the 1970s. It tells the story of how a gay couple struggled with intolerant social concepts and laws.
