Maria Vargas (Ava Gardner), a beautiful, sensitive, love-hungry Spanish woman, was dancing in a bar. He was discovered by American director Harry Dawes (Humphrey Bogart), brought to Hollywood, and became a much-anticipated movie star. But she had many conflicts with Kirk Edwards, the boss who invested in Harry's movie, and later became entangled with Bravano, a rich man in South America. Until she met the man who loved her deeply, Count Vincenzo, and the two finally got married, but tragedy was inevitable. Just like Vincenzo's family motto: What should come, will always come.
