Computer game designer Xu Datong (played by Tony Leung) and his wife Jian Ning (played by Jiang Wenli) have been working hard in the United States for 8 years and have a successful career. An accident turns a beautiful family into a misery: his 5-year-old son is sick / and the old father (played by Zhu Xu) uses traditional Chinese scraping to treat his grandson's illness. The Datong couple was then accused of child abuse. One physical witness after another left the couple unable to defend themselves.
