Wren's Daughter

The story takes place in Ireland during World War I. Rosie (played by Sarah Miles) is a cheerful and enthusiastic girl who falls in love with a man named Charles (Robert Mitchum). Although there is a huge age difference between the two, Rosie is as desperate as a moth to a flame and walks into the wedding hall hand in hand with Charles. However, on the wedding night, a fierce quarrel broke out between the two. Only then did Rosie realize that she and Charles were not a good match in terms of personality, but it was too late. Afterwards, Rosie met Major Landford (Christopher Jones), who launched a fierce offensive against Rosie, and Rosie fell in love again. A series of accidents made Rosie the target of public criticism in the village. The villagers imprisoned her and wanted to give her the punishment she deserved.
