Macbeth 1971

In the battle with Norway, Macbeth, the cousin of King Duncan of Scotland (Nicholas Selby), performed well and was knighted. Long before being knighted, Macbeth (Jon Finch) and his friend Banquo (Martin Shaw) had heard from three witches the prophecy that he would be crowned and eventually become king. The fulfillment of the prophecy aroused the hidden desire in Macbeth's heart, and then he and his wife (Francesca Annis) killed the king who came to his castle as a guest, and framed the king's entourage. The two princes vaguely felt the bloody conspiracy behind the assassination, so they fled to England and Ireland respectively. Macbeth is arrogant in his successful execution, but he clearly remembers the witch's prophecy about Banquo, that is, although Banquo cannot become king, his descendants will be kings from generation to generation. Unwilling to make a wedding dress for others, Macbeth ordered his cronies to kill his friends, and from then on began a bloody road of no return... This film is adapted from one of Shakespeare's four tragedies, "Macbeth".
