The Kelly Party

The story takes place in the mid-19th century. The lives of residents living in northeastern Victoria are miserable, and Ned Kelly (played by Heath Ledger) is also one of them. Since childhood, Ned has witnessed the ignorance and corruption of law enforcement. At the age of 16, he was thrown into prison for unfounded charges. This experience allowed Ned to grow rapidly and become a reliable person who can shoulder the burden of the family. However, the peaceful life did not last long. When a policeman tried to rape Ned's sister Kate (Kerry Condon), Ned, who was carried away by anger, beat the policeman severely. Because of this incident, Ned began his life in exile. Together with his friends Steve (Philip Barantini) and Joe (Orlando Bloom), they established the "Kelly Party" to punish rape and eliminate evil. The existence of Kelly's party infuriated the authorities, who vowed to capture them at all costs.
