Lethal Weapon

On Christmas Eve, a scantily clad single woman was in a trance in a high-rise hotel room. She came to the balcony, rolled over and fell... Roger (Danny Glover), a black police officer who just celebrated his 50th birthday ) was in charge of the case, and he discovered that the woman who fell from the building was the daughter of his Vietnam War partner Mike. The police station dispatched Reg (Mel Gibson) to assist Roger. Reg has excellent abilities, but he has recently fallen into the sadness of losing his wife and cannot extricate himself. The new pair soon bickered over Reg's reckless way of solving problems, perhaps because, as Reg puts it, this is a crazy city where everyone is trying to commit suicide. As the investigation continued to deepen, Roger and Reg discovered that the truth behind the falling incident was beyond their control: it turned out that the CIA set up special forces during the Vietnam War to infiltrate and sabotage the Viet Cong's drug trade. After the war, these special forces used the trading network of the year to traffic drugs, and Mike was killed for obstructing the interests of the drug group. Although Roger and Reg found their way, it was obviously difficult to smash the drug syndicate.
