Chain Conspiracy

Jerry Fletcher (Mel Gibson) is an ordinary taxi driver in New York. He is alone and has nothing to do. Perhaps out of boredom, Jerry often fantasizes about various conspiracy theories about the government and tells them to every passenger. It seems that some of the lies come true, and he is cautious and nervous in his daily life. Jerry is obsessed with the beautiful lawyer Alice Sutton (Julia Roberts), and often communicates with Alice about his conspiracy theories. Recently, water pipes burst frequently in New York. Witnessing the FBI appearing at the scene, Jerry concluded that there must be some conspiracy behind it. This time he guessed correctly, and soon a group of mysterious figures focused on this unabashed man... The film won three 1998 Popular Entertainment Awards for Best Actress (Julia Roberts), Best Actor (Mel Gibson) and Best Supporting Actor (Patrick Stewart).
