Princess Mia (Anne Hathaway) returned to Genovia again after graduating from college. The arrival of the princess caused a sensation throughout the country, and Mia was very excited about it. However, at a royal hearing, the justice announced that the princess must be married to inherit the throne. Mia must get engaged within 30 days or she will have to give up the throne. The Queen (Julie Andrew) had no choice but to help Mia choose a husband with her assistants. After several choices, Mia finally got engaged to a young and handsome aristocratic man. The young boy Nicholas (played by Chris Pine) who competes with her for the throne has an unspeakable relationship with Mia. The boy's uncle wants Nicholas to seduce Mia so that she can't get married within a month, but true feelings develop between the two young people.
