Young Brett came to New York from Kansas to pursue a career, but he could only work as a messenger boy for an international trading group, but because of this, he heard a lot of the company's insinuations. When a senior executive's position became vacant and there was no one to fill it, Brett simply used his office to give orders without permission and became an invisible supervisor, even causing the boss's wife to covet him.
