Hildy Johnson (Rosalind Russell), the ace female reporter who has disappeared for several months, came to the office desk of her boss Walter Burns (Cary Grant), planning to resign to get married. Of course Walter doesn't want this to happen, and more importantly, the two used to be a couple living together. In Walter's eyes, Hildy is the most effective reporter partner, but Hildy is looking forward to a peaceful married life. Although the two were divorced, Walter still loved Hildy deeply. A death row prison escape incident that caused a sensation throughout New York City brought the two into close contact again.
