Beyond the Mountain

The film is adapted from the reportage of journalist Tatiana Niculescu Boon. The reportage tells the story of an elderly nun who died after an exorcism in 2005. In the film, there are two protagonists, one is called Alina and the other is called Vicchia. They grew up in the same orphanage. As an adult, Vecchia felt that the monastery was a sanctuary for her soul, so she became a nun; while Alina went to Germany. They had not been in contact for a long time, but their fates were reunited because of an accident.
