Margherita Buy ) is a middle-aged director. As she grows older, she increasingly feels that everything around her is gradually getting out of her control. Margarita is currently filming a new film, in which Barry (John Turturro), who plays the male protagonist, is a very unreliable person. His uncontrollability brings a lot of trouble to Margarita and makes her very anxious. At the same time, Margarita's mother's health deteriorated, and her daughter seemed to have entered adolescence, acting particularly rebelliously. A series of accidents brought Margarita's spirit to the brink of collapse, but when she mustered up the courage to grit her teeth and face the ensuing difficulties, she found that she seemed to have a new perspective on life.
