Manuscripts Will Not Burn

This is a real historical event: In 1995, the Iranian government secretly planned to assassinate 21 writers and journalists, but the operation failed, leaving only a manuscript disclosing the plan. The director charted a follow-up to this dark history: 20 years later, the authorities hired two killers to find the manuscript because the truth recorded in it would threaten the dictatorship. As usual, the killers Morteza and Khosrow used skilled techniques to intimidate those who asked for information - only this time the victims were writers who survived and are still oppressed by the government today. The director interweaves the fictional present with the real past in order to discover the truth of the incident. In the eyes of the totalitarian government, the truth is a secret that cannot be told. Is the trampling of human rights more than a nightmare? Due to the 20-year filming ban imposed on the director, filming this film itself is a crime. In order to protect those involved, the names of all the actors and staff of the film except the director are not listed. The white terror of the film has become a clear evidence of the silent violence in the film.
