Retired policeman Tom (Samuel L. Jackson) opened a company that specializes in cleaning crime scenes for others. His main job is to help the victims' families with the funeral arrangements after the murder. Although this work was dirty and trivial, he learned business lessons from it. He and his smart and well-behaved daughter depend on each other. The death of her mother made her daughter particularly dependent on her father. Every time he stayed out at night, his daughter would feel uneasy.
