Strange Tales of a Northern Town

In a remote northern town, one street has residents on one side and businesses on the other, forming a complete and dilapidated community. Thomas, a 12-year-old boy (Leonard Lucieer), dresses himself up as a black man all day long, just like Lumumba, the Congolese leader he admires. The boy's mother Martha (Annet Malherbe) became a believer after hearing the teachings of the Holy Voice and refused to have sex with her husband. As a butcher, his father Jacob (Jack Wouterse) suffers from sexual desire and can only spy on other women in the shop. Postman Pleg (Alex van Warmerdam) is Thomas's only friend. His hobby is stealing other people's letters. The rangers patrolled with guns and live ammunition all day long, looking for trouble with the postman again and again. One day, the arrival of a black man disrupted the seemingly peaceful life of the town...
