Flowers of Yesterday

Totila (Lars Eidinger) ) is a scholar whose research focuses on the German Holocaust. Although his research results have attracted much attention in the industry and his academic future is promising, this cruel research has brought Totila's spirit to the brink of collapse. It turns out that Totila has hidden an unknown past. His grandfather was a Nazi in the past, and he personally killed many unarmed innocent people. Every time he thinks of this, Totila will feel extremely painful. By chance, Totila met a Jewish girl named Zaji (Adèle Haenel). Zaji has a cheerful and enthusiastic personality, like a ray of sunshine lighting up Totila's gloomy world. Zaji's grandmother was persecuted to death by the Nazis during World War II. What Zaji couldn't accept was that the person who persecuted his grandmother was Totila's grandfather.
